Quilt Squares

Thank you to everyone that have sent us a quilt square and wish for our daughters 100 Good Wishes Quilt. They are all different and we absolutely love them all! We know it is a bit of work for you all to do this for us but please know how much we appreciate you being apart of it. We know our daughter will be greatly blessed by it!
Here's what we have received lately:

From my brother & sister-in-law, Jason, Terry & Family in Tempe.

From my brother & sister-in-law, John & Marcia & Family in Chandler.

From my college friend Kristi & her family in Overgaard, AZ.

From our neighborhood friends, the Sparrow Family in Tucson.

Also, thank you to everyone who has told us that you are in the process of picking out fabric. We so appreciate it! I haven't gotten started putting together the quilt yet so you still have plenty of time to send us your quilt square and wish. But I am hoping to start putting it together by Summer time.

Snow Day

Yesterday we took what looks to be our last opportunity (we are expecting 80 degree weather here this week) to head up to the mountains and play in the snow. We even planned ahead this year and I purchased a disk and soft sled from Costco. None of that sliding on plastics lids like we did last year. Besides the the big bruise and cut where the sun don't shine and lower back pain a good time was had by all! Seriously it was fun, Camden especially enjoyed it. I just think I might be getting a little too old to try every big bump.

Here's a few pictures from our day:

Family Fun

Doug's Mom, Sister Val and her girls made the trek down to Tucson for the day. We had a great time tootling around the Desert Museum and then headed to a Mexican food place for dinner. We had a wonderful time visiting and catching up.

Friends from Afar

What a treat! We had friends Jason, Cecelia & their sweet little boy Jadon as well as our good friends, the Newcom's over for dinner the other night. Jason & Cecilia are in town from Singapore this week for work. They lived in Tucson for a few months four years ago. It has been quite awhile since we have seen them so it was great to get together and reconnect. Their are such a neat family and it is always fascinating conversation when we talk about the differences in our countries.

Our Cowboy!

All the Kindergarten classes at Camden's school took part in a rodeo celebration. A cowboy came and did some nifty rope tricks and then the kids were able to do a variety of "cowboy" activities. I helped out with the paper bag vests. As you can see from our little cowboy they turned out pretty cute!

Wildcat Basketball

Camden's best buddy from preschool last year (and his Grandma) graciously offered us Wildcat basketball tickets. We of course accepted! We joined them for lunch before the game as well and had a great time. Go Wildcats!

Chinese New Year Celebration

Camden's class celebrated Chinese New Year today. They had Chinese noodles, all sorts of Chinese treats and they even received a red envelope with money in it. Although it was only four pennies. He was still excited. They also made dragons and paraded around the school and into each classroom. It was so cute.
Hopefully next year we will have you know who in attendance.

Last Soccer Game & Party

Soccer season came to a close today. Camden had a great second year of soccer. We were blessed with wonderful coaches that were so great with the kids. They were positive, made it fun and taught them a bit about soccer in the process.
