We have a Daughter!

After 4 long years since we decided to adopt, it seems almost unbelievable to be able to post this. We got "the call" today at 2:49 PM and we have a daughter.

I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him. I Samuel 1:2

We are overjoyed to introduce to you:

Chinese Name: Qian Xiu Qing (last name, first name, middle name)
To be known as: ???
Birthday: July 6, 2008 - She is 10 1/2 months old!
She is currently living in: Qianjiang Social Welfare Institute
Province: Chongqing (The province is light green in the lower middle of the map)
She was described to us as healthy with a little hair (not much), round face, big eyes, light complexion with kind of a half smile in her pictures.

That's all the info we have right now. We should receive pictures and more details about her on Friday.

Thank you God for this day!

Congratulations! We have a Qianjiang girl too. It's a great, well run orphanage. All of the girls in our group are healthy and 1 1/2 years later they are all thriving.

Let us know if you have any questions. there's a good yahoo group for our orphanage which you can join.

Congrats! We, too, have adopted a Chongqing "Spicy Girl" back in July of 2007. CQ girls are the most beautiful in all of China, so we were told by just about everyone we met in China. They certainly have spicy personalities though. Very stubborn and strong willed! Enjoy every moment!!!
