How to Stay Young

1. Throw out nonessential numbers.

This includes age, weight, height, calories, etc.

Let the doctors worry about the numbers, that’s why you pay them

2. Keep only cheerful friends.

3. Keep learning.

Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, etc.

Never let the brain idle.
4. Enjoy the simple things.
5. Laugh

Often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath, start crying or fluid comes out of something it’s not supposed to come out of

6. The tears happen.

Endure, grieve and consider yourself fortunate to have cared enough to cry.

7. Surround yourself with what you love.

Family, friends, pets, hobbies, keepsakes, music, plants, again etc..
8. Value your health:

If it’s good, preserve it... if it’s unstable, improve it….if it’s beyond what you can improve, get help and trust the Lord to guide you.

9. Don't take guilt trips.

As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our sins from us, so take a trip to the mall, even to the next county, but NOT to where the guilt is.

10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.
and

Worry about nothing, pray about everything!!!

Avery's First Photo Shoot

I took Avery to get some professional photos done today. Sadly we have had her for almost 3 months and this is the first "real" photos we have had taken of her. Anyway she did so great. I was very impressed. It amazes me...she seems to take such things in stride.

Here she is with her 100 Wishes Quilt as the background.

She sleeps

This is one of Avery's favorite sleeping positions. We find her with her leg through the slates quite often.
Oh and I do clean my floors even though her knees seem to tell a different story.
Avery's sleep issues have improved dramatically. She goes down easily at night in her crib which continues to be in our room. Sometimes she sleeps through the night but most of the time she wakes up once or twice a night but goes back down easily. It is wonderful to see that she is feeling more and more secure in our little family.

A Favorite Position

Avery is so flexible. I know most kids at this age are but she seems to be more flexible then the average or at least more flexible than Camden ever was. This continues to be a favorite position of hers. She briefly had both feet up there the other day but I wasn't quick enough with the camera. I can't help but wonder if we have a little Chinese acrobat on our hands. :)
